LOTS of good info here! Good luck! ed Mar 16, Yes, they are two different sizes. Taller in back, shorter in front. The mediums 4 in front, 5 in back will work on a 44mm objective its says 42mm but I've got plenty 44's on mediums. Use 5 on front, 6 on back for a 50mm objective.
There are some 30's for sale here: BTW, they're sold singly, not in pairs. ed Jul 25, Ruger stainless rings I also posted a "Want To Buy" ad here and got a couple of responses including a member with set for sale around the same price. I would have bought the member's set but I had already put in my bid on eBay.

Metlhed57 said:. ed Feb 25, I don't know the deation of the Ruger rings for a 30 mm scope. Typically 30mm scopes having up to 44 mm objective lens' would use a medium 30 mm ring on the front and a high 30mm ring on the back. A good source for Ruger rings is the Andean outfit - they are on line.

Another possibility is to buy a Burris, Ruger to Weaver adaptor that will allow you to use either Burris Zee or Burris Zee ature rings attached to the adaptor that is attached to the Ruger M77 receiver.
This set up has many parts, is rough looking, and places the scope higer than other mount systems. I have used it but don't like it very much.
